I was born in Melbourne, Australia. Through my childhood, I always had animals around me whether it be dogs, budgerigars, pet mice or even goldfish. I even took horse riding lessons. Bushwalking and holidaying at the beach were also part of my childhood memories as well as watching John Wayne westerns.
In time I developed an interest in The American West and started reading non- fiction books about the era including The Native American Indians, the battles and the larger than life characters. My favourite book of all time would have to be “Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee.”
I never thought of being a writer until later in life. I completed a historical fiction course before even contemplating the journey of writing a novel. The passion and interest of The Native American Indians and the “Wild West” era led me to creating “Whispers Among The Prairie.”
